Declaration - IRON RUNNER BRASIL 2025 

The Iron Runner Brasil 2025 is governed by this Regulation. By registering for this competition, each participant declares that:

I) They have read, understood, and accepted all the rules contained in the Regulation, especially items 3, 7, 8, and 11.

II) They participate in Iron Runner Brasil voluntarily; on their behalf and that of their successors, they release the Organizers, Promoters, Sponsors, and Supervisors of this event from any and all responsibility for any consequences, accidents, thefts, damages, and losses of any nature that may arise from their participation in this race, with NO right to compensation.

III) They are aware of their health condition and are fit to participate, in perfect health, and have trained adequately for this event; up to the date of registration, they have not been medically prohibited from participating in any other sport; they do not use drugs and do not abuse alcoholic beverages.

IV) They assume responsibility for all travel, accommodation, meals, transfers, insurance, medical assistance, and any other expenses necessary or arising from their participation in this event, before, during, or after it.

V) They are aware that the event takes place on trails, public and private roads open to normal vehicle traffic, where traffic laws must be respected; they assume responsibility for reimbursing any amounts arising from personal or material damages caused by their participation in this event.

VI) They are aware that they are solely responsible for the custody of all their equipment (shoes, watch, accessories, mobile phone, camera, etc.) throughout the event.

VII) They are aware that the Organization reserves the right to reject an athlete's registration at any time; that REGISTRATIONS ARE INDIVIDUAL, NON-TRANSFERABLE (ownership and year) and will only be confirmed after payment. Cancellations and refunds will be processed according to the deadlines and discounts described in item 3 of the Regulation.

VIII) They are aware of the penalties for discarding packaging or trash along the route; if the organization provides mineral water in cups, it will be given already opened, and its use is exclusively for drinking (it is prohibited to use this water for any other purpose).

IX) In case of emergency, they authorize any qualified person to administer the necessary medical and/or surgical treatment, including the administration of blood and blood derivatives.

X) They are aware that the Iron Runner Brasil Medal is a special award for those who, upon proof, complete their respective courses within the time limits set by the Organization. It is not a gift or participation souvenir and is not part of the athlete's kit.

XI) They are aware that, in the event of any unforeseen circumstance, such as strikes in essential services, adverse public health conditions, changes in public policies, or any other relevant event, the Organization may, at any time, change the event's location (Host City) or date.

XII) They are aware that it is the athlete's responsibility to register a valid email address at the time of registration, to read the information sent to their email, and to frequently check the event website (www.ironrunner.com.br) to verify any modifications to this regulation, news, and information related to their participation in the race.

IRON RUNNER BRASIL 2025 REGULATION
May 18, 2025 (Sunday) - MARIANA, MG
7K / 14K / 21K

1) Type and Constitution of the Race

Mountain Running/Trail Run - Race in the mountains, with 3 types of routes: 7K*, 14K*, and 21K*, on trails and roads marked with ribbons (BLUE = CORRECT path and RED = WRONG path), chalk, and signs.

*7K, 14K, and 21K are distance references for each route/category, and these distances may vary by approximately 10% more or less.

Iron Runner Brasil will take place on May 18, 2025 (Sunday) in the historic city of Mariana, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The start and finish lines will be at Praça Gomes Freire (Garden), in the historic city center.

The starts will be divided into 3 blocks, according to the type of route (21K, 14K, and 7K), at the following times:
8:30 AM - Simultaneous start for the 21K categories.
8:45 AM - Simultaneous start for the 14K categories.
9:00 AM - Simultaneous start for the 7K categories.

Regulatory Time (maximum time to complete the route):
7K Category = until 11:00 AM.
14K Category = until 12:30 PM.
21K Category = until 12:45 PM.

Award ceremony for all categories: 1:00 PM.

Note: Changes in times and small variations in distances and elevation profiles may occur up to the competition days. The valid times and details will be those in the Regulation published on the official website - www.ironrunner.com.br on the eve of the event (a copy available at the Race Secretariat).

Important:
I) The race takes place on streets, roads, paths, and trails. Be attentive. Pay close attention at intersections with marked checkpoints.
II) The route may be changed in case of heavy rain or force majeure. In such cases, always follow the official signage and the guidance of IDENTIFIED MARSHALS wearing official vests.
III) The Organizing Committee reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event in emergency situations, public calamities, natural disasters, or other force majeure situations preventing its execution on the previously scheduled date.

2) Categories and Modalities 2025
Categories according to the selected route type (7K, 14K, or 21K) and modalities according to gender and age range of each athlete.

A total of 10 modalities (5 male and 5 female) in each route/category:
Run28 (M/F): Athletes aged 28 and older.
Run39 (M/F): Athletes aged 29 to 39.
Run49 (M/F): Athletes aged 40 to 49.
Run59 (M/F): Athletes aged 50 to 59.
RunVet (M/F): Athletes aged 60 and older.

Notes:
I) The reference date for age calculation is December 31, 2025.
II) Minimum age to participate: 21K = 18 years / 7K and 14K = 16 years.
III) Athletes under 18 must submit, during kit collection, an authorization signed by their legal guardian along with a copy of the guardian's ID. Attention: the signature on the authorization must match the signature on the ID.

3) Registration Only via the Internet: www.ironrunner.com.br

Athletes from the city of Mariana: Before registering, visit the Municipal Sports Secretariat, either in person or via WhatsApp at (31) 3557 2128, to obtain a promotional coupon with a special price for residents of Mariana: R$ 100.00 (payment via boleto or pix).
This benefit is valid during the Promotional Lot, until 3/25/2025, subject to availability.

Promotional launch period - from 3/10 to 3/25 - all routes.
R$ 150.00 (payment via boleto or pix) or
R$ 165.00 (credit card, with up to 6 interest-free installments).

1st batch - from 3/26 to 4/14 (or until spots are full) - all routes.
R$ 170.00 (payment via boleto or pix) or
R$ 187.00 (credit card, with up to 6 interest-free installments).

2nd batch - from 4/15 to 5/2 (or until spots are full) - all routes.
R$ 210.00 (payment via boleto or pix) or
R$ 230.00 (credit card, with up to 6 interest-free installments).

3rd batch - from 5/3 to 5/12 (or until spots are full) - all routes.
R$ 230.00 (payment via boleto or pix) or
R$ 250.00 (credit card, with up to 6 interest-free installments).

LIMITED SPOTS.

Athletes 60+ will receive a 50% discount on registration fees. To activate this registration, beneficiaries must present an original ID with a photo when picking up their kits.

Attention:
To activate the registration, all athletes must donate at least 2 kg of non-perishable food on the day and place of kit collection. The collected food will be donated to social programs in the municipality of Mariana, MG.

Registrations are non-transferable in terms of ownership and year, and will only be confirmed after payment.

Cancellation requests with justifiable reasons, subject to approval by the Organizing Committee:
Up to 4/17/2025 - a 30% fee will be charged for reimbursement.
From 4/18 to 5/9/2025 - a 50% fee will be charged for reimbursement.
From 5/10/2025 onwards, cancellation requests will not be accepted, nor will refunds be issued.
Refunds will be processed within 10 days after the event.

Requests for data changes in the registration form, until 5/9/2025. After this date, only category change requests will be accepted in person at the Race Secretariat, during kit collection, subject to availability in the category.

The Organization reserves the right to reject an athlete's registration at any time. Additionally, it may suspend or extend deadlines, add or limit the number of registrations based on technical/structural needs, without prior notice.

4) Athlete Kit Pickup, Athlete Guide, and Briefings

Location and date: to be announced.

To receive the kit, all athletes must:
I) Present an ID with a photo.
II) Donate at least 2 kg of non-perishable food to be donated to social programs in Mariana, MG.
III) Athletes under 18 must present a signed authorization from their guardian, including the guardian's full name, ID number, address, and phone number, as well as a copy of the guardian's legal ID. Attention: the signature on the authorization must match the ID signature.

The kit includes: printed number with disposable chip, pins, Athlete Guide, T-shirt, and visor.

On the race day, athletes must wear appropriate clothing, with the official identification number clearly visible on the front of the shirt, and carry an ID (or copy) with a photo throughout the event.

Attention: IF YOU DECIDE TO WITHDRAW, DO NOT PASS YOUR KIT TO ANOTHER PERSON. BESIDES BEING ILLEGAL AND UNSPORTSMANLIKE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HEALTH AND PHYSICAL INTEGRITY OF THIS PERSON.

Notes:
I) Third parties may pick up an athlete's kit. To do so, the athlete must send a handwritten, signed authorization, stating the full name, ID, and phone numbers of the authorized person, as well as a copy of the athlete's ID.
II) The ATHLETE GUIDE is a supplement to this Regulation and may modify it. It will be published on the official website near the event date.
III) In case of emergency schedule/route changes during the event, the Race Director will conduct a briefing (instructions/announcements) before the start.
IV) No kit collection will be allowed after the race starts at 8:30 AM.
V) The T-shirt and visor are complimentary. The sizes selected may be altered/changed by the Organization according to stock availability. There will be no size exchanges during kit collection.

5) Control Stations (PCs) / Duration of the Race

Throughout the route, there will be special Control Stations (PCs) to monitor the course. An athlete who is not within the regulatory time (as outlined in Item 1 of this Regulation) at any point on the route will be asked to withdraw from the competition, finishing the race at that point, and the Organization will no longer be responsible for any services or support to that athlete. They will be asked to board vehicles provided by the Organization (if applicable) to return to the starting point when this service is available.

6) Results

At the end of the race, once the timing team processes the final results with the top 8 finishers in each category, they will be announced and posted for the athletes' review. From then on, there will be a 15-minute period for challenges to the results. After this period, the results will be confirmed by the Organization and released as official.

7) Obligations and Responsibilities of Participants

Stay informed by checking the communications sent to your registered email address (also check the spam folder) and regularly visit the event website to verify any changes to this regulation, as well as news and information about the event.
Each athlete is responsible for taking care of and safeguarding all their race equipment/material and personal items.
Keep the identification number clearly visible throughout the competition. Write an emergency contact number and health details (if any) on the back of the bib number.
Allow faster athletes to pass when necessary.
Preserve the good image of the sport and protect the environment.
Respect traffic laws during the race.
Immediately notify the Race Secretariat if you decide to withdraw from the competition for any reason. Failure to do so will result in the Organization conducting a search, and the participant will be charged for the costs generated by this action.
Have life insurance compatible with the needs of dependents and beneficiaries.
Have good health conditions to participate in the race, and if necessary, have the medical clearance certificate (from a general practitioner or cardiologist).

8) Medical Support

I) There will be medical support throughout the course, with ambulances and teams strategically positioned at key points. These teams will provide first aid and assistance in case of emergencies.
II) The Organization is not responsible for any pre-existing medical conditions or accidents that may occur before, during, or after the race. It is the athlete's responsibility to ensure they are in good health and have the necessary medical clearance to participate in the event.
III) In the case of an emergency where an athlete requires evacuation from the course, the medical team will provide assistance. If the athlete cannot continue the race due to injury or health reasons, they will be transported to the nearest medical facility or back to the start/finish line.
IV) If an athlete suffers an accident and is unable to reach the nearest checkpoint or the finish line independently, they must signal to a marshal or other participants for help. All participants are encouraged to report any accidents or injuries to the nearest official.
V) The athlete must provide the race organization with an emergency contact phone number when registering. This number will be used only in the event of an emergency.

9) Race Conduct and Disqualifications

I) The race must be completed by each athlete on foot, in accordance with the official route. Use of any means of transportation, including bicycles, skateboards, or any motorized devices, will result in disqualification.
II) Any unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to verbal or physical abuse of race officials, fellow athletes, or volunteers, will result in immediate disqualification.
III) Athletes must obey all signage, guidelines, and instructions provided by the race officials and marshals. Failure to comply with these instructions or taking a wrong route will result in disqualification.
IV) Participants who miss a checkpoint, intentionally cut the route, or receive outside assistance in a manner deemed unfair or prohibited will be disqualified from the event.
V) Athletes who are caught littering or damaging the environment will be penalized or disqualified. The race is committed to promoting sustainability and respecting nature.
VI) It is strictly prohibited to switch bib numbers or race categories without the permission of the race organization. Such actions will result in the disqualification of both participants involved.

10) Prizes and Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each category (both male and female). The prizes will vary based on category, and the winners will receive medals and various goods, sponsored products, and services.
I) Categories:
Top 3 finishers in each of the following categories: 7K, 14K, and 21K.
The prize pool for each race category will be posted on the event website as the event approaches.
II) Trophies:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in each age group (per category) will receive trophies.
III) Other Awards:
Special prizes for best performances (e.g., best time overall, best local athlete, etc.) may also be included depending on the sponsorships and event structure.
IV) Medals:
All finishers will receive a commemorative medal upon crossing the finish line.
Medals will be awarded to every athlete who completes the race within the time limits.
V) The awards ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM on the day of the event. The top 3 male and female finishers in each category will be honored.

11) Photography and Media Coverage

I) By participating in Iron Runner Brasil 2025, all athletes grant the race organizers the right to use photos, videos, and other media taken during the event for marketing and promotional purposes, without compensation.
II) Professional photographers and media teams may be present along the race course and at the start/finish lines. Athletes should be aware that they may be photographed or filmed while participating in the event.
III) If athletes do not wish to appear in the media, they must inform the race organization ahead of time via email or at the kit pickup.

12) Environmental Responsibility

The Iron Runner Brasil race is committed to environmental sustainability. As part of this commitment, athletes are encouraged to:
I) Recycle all waste in designated bins along the course, including bottles, wrappers, and other materials. Littering will result in a penalty or disqualification.
II) Respect all natural and historic areas visited during the event. Athletes should remain on the designated routes to protect local flora and fauna.
III) The race will minimize the environmental impact by using sustainable practices, such as reusable signage, biodegradable materials, and eco-friendly products for race kits and supplies.

13) Force Majeure and Postponements

I) The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify or cancel the event if necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, such as extreme weather conditions, public safety concerns, or other force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, or other emergencies).
II) If the event is postponed, registered participants will be notified immediately and will have the option to either receive a refund or transfer their registration to the new event date.
III) The Organizing Committee will not be held responsible for any additional expenses incurred by participants due to cancellations or changes, including but not limited to travel or accommodation costs.

14) General Provisions

I) The registration, participation, and behavior of athletes during the Iron Runner Brasil 2025 event will be governed by the rules outlined in this regulation.
II) The official language of the event will be Portuguese. All important communications, instructions, and signage will be in Portuguese, with additional support available in English for international participants.
III) The race organizers have the final say in any disputes or issues that may arise before, during, or after the event. Their decisions will be final.
IV) By registering for the race, athletes agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this regulation, and they release the race organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and partners from any responsibility for personal injury, loss, or damage during or related to the event.

15) Acknowledgment of Risk and Waiver

By completing the registration process, all athletes acknowledge the inherent risks involved in participating in a trail race, including but not limited to physical exertion, terrain obstacles, and the potential for injury or medical issues.
Athletes are responsible for their own safety during the event and must take appropriate measures to minimize risk, such as staying hydrated, pacing themselves, and following the course guidelines.
Participants must also agree to waive any claims against the event organizers or any associated parties for injury, damage, or loss that may occur as a result of their participation in Iron Runner Brasil 2025.
