The race starts on one of the most famous beaches in the world - Copacabana - and continues through the most beautiful landscapes of Rio de Janeiro, on a course where athletes will be surrounded by the most famous scenarios in the city, such as Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, Ponte Rio Niterói and Botafogo cove. The entire event will be held on the Rio 2016 Olympic route - with a high degree of safety and performance optimization for all athletes.
